Longdowns is a village situated on the A394 road approximately three miles (4.8 km) west of Penryn and in the civil parish of Stithians. This profile of Longdowns Wesleyan Chapel has been compiled by Jo Lewis and Tony Mansell.
A small wayside Methodist chapel (Wesleyan) is recorded at this location on both the 1st and 2nd Edition 1:2500 OS maps c1880 and c1907 respectively. It appears from the 2005 CC vertical aerial photograph that the building may survive, as a building appears to survive in the footprint of the chapel, whereas on the modern OS Mastermap 2009 the building appears to have been incorporated into a house. Returning east on the A394 to Longdowns, take the left (north) turn just after the Halvasso road joins from the south. The Wesleyan chapel was up the lane on the left. It is still marked as a Wesleyan Chapel in the 1930s but appears to be gone by the 1960s. It is now a collection of buildings which are likely new builds on the site (Marrack House).
