The Hub (Jo Lewis)

This profile of the proposal for a new Methodist Centre has been compiled by Jo Lewis.

The Hub is located at Nansledan, a newly built community development which is being led and managed by the Duchy of Cornwall, which owns the majority of the land there.

In 2009, the three remaining Newquay Methodist Churches sold their buildings and pooled their resources to build new premises.

A Project Group was formed, named the “3-2-1 Project” to develop a church and community building in the Newquay area.

In the meantime, Newquay Methodist Church purchased The Hub in Nansledan, a community space for different groups to use.

Newquay Methodists currently used Bishop’s School for Sunday services.

Plans can be seen for the Newquay Community Worship centre on Pargolla Road, Newquay – south of the Station.

September 2024: newspaper reports that building work is about the start.

The new centre is due to open in September 2025.

This page will be updated when the new premises are in place.
