This profile of St Columb Minor Bible Christian Chapel has been compiled by Jo Lewis and Tony Mansell.

Located on the left heading north on Church Street after the big Wesleyan Chapel on Leader Road junction.

1850: Build date from the plaque.

Heritage Gateway: The 1st Edition 1:2500 1880 OS map records a Bible Christian chapel at this location in Church Street, St Columb Minor. By 1907 the 2nd Edition 1:2500 OS map shows a Sunday School re-using the original building and the original Methodist chapel 138769 on Stanways Road being used as the Bible Christian chapel.https://www.heritagegateway.org.uk/Gateway/Results_Single.aspx?uid=MCO52050&resourceID=1020

1855: Evidence of baptisms.

1907: The Methodist New Connexion, Bible Christians and United Methodist Free Churches amalgamated to become the United Methodist Church.

Became St Columb Minor United Methodist Church.

The Chapel is clearly marked on early (1881) maps with the first Wesleyan Chapel sitting at its back (the latter then becomes Sunday school – there is some confusion in Heritage Gateway about this).

Before 1867: St Columb Minor Churchtown Bible Christian Chapel included on returns.

1901: Included on return.

1902: Included in Kellys Directory.

Included as a religious site on 1937-61 map, presumably a United Methodist, but no further information can be found.

1932: Possibly combined with the former Wesleyan Chapel.

It is no longer marked on post 1948 maps.

It is now residential.
