Nancegollan is a village on the B3303 road and south-east of Leedstown. The railway line from Helston to Hayle passed through the village (closed in 1964). A Wesleyan chapel plus schoolroom at the rear, survives on the site of an 1813 chapel in Nancegollan. 1859 chapel extended and remodelled 1901. Granite rubble with granite dressings. Pedimented front end; 3-bay loggia porch; pair of doorways with panelled doors; margin panes to arched windows. Good forecourt walls with iron railings. Interior not inspected. 1901: “The trustees of Nancegollan Wesleyan Chapel desire TENDERS for new Sunday school, to be built adjoining above chapel. Plans and specifications to be seen at Nancegollan. Sealed tenders for masonry and carpentry work to be sent, separate, to the secretary of trust, on or before 22nd of April. The lowest, or any tender not necessarily accepted.
