Zoar is a hamlet on the Lizard Peninsula in south Cornwall 1 1⁄2 miles (2.4 km) northwest of the coastal village of Coverack. This profile of Zoar Bible Christian Chapel has been compiled by Terry Moyle.

New chapel on site in 1877 – foundation stone laid on 2 July 1877 by Mr. William Williams of Roskilly.

1879 leasehold granted by William Williams of Roskilly, gentleman, to James Coad of Traboe for a term of 999 years

“Plot containing about 25 lasts at the eastern corner of Grugath Common, St. Keverne on which a chapel for religious worship has lately been erected and is used by the society of professing Christians called Bible Christians.

BC Magazine Obituaries 1898 – Philippa Hayden of Boscarnon died in 1898 aged 66 and had been a member at Zoar since about 1863. Samuel Tripp of Kernewas died in February 1898 – he had been a member since 1873 and had been active in the building of a new chapel there in 1876
