1879: “… two effective sermons were preached in St. Thomas Hall, by Mr. Sholl, of Penzance, to two large and appreciative audiences, on behalf of the Tregurtha Wesleyan Methodist chapel anniversary The hall was full both afternoon and evening. (Cornishman – Thursday 21 August 1879)
