1803: The Rev. John Boyle (retired Methodist minister) formed a society in Truro (termed Boylites).

1809: “A new dissenting Chapel has been begun in St Clement street, Truro (location unknown); making the fifth of that description in this place and its suburbs, exclusive of the Methodist chapel.” (Royal Cornwall Gazette 5th August 1809)

1817: John Boyle retired and “handed over” his societies to the Bible Christians.
